Simon Probyn

BIO
I am an independent sculptor working in large industrial steel creating bespoke pieces for public and private commissions.

I came to sculpting late after a 30 year career in the building industry. Sculpture became my passion and I decided to follow my dream in 2013 when I stepped out of paid employment and set up in my own studio. I am totally self-taught and get great enjoyment and satisfaction from collaboration with other artists.

My works include public art installed nationally which include the Thames River Perch placed outside the Tower of London and closer to home, the Covid Memorial Rainbow, Gloucester Royal Hospital and the Spire at St Mary’s Gardens, Ross-on-Wye.
