Maxine Farmer
Bio
Maxine Farmer is contemporary sculptor whose speciality is capturing energy and emotion as permanent memories, removing extraneous detail to reveal the true essence.
Those ephemeral moments: a shrug of a shoulder, a twist of a head…all these tell us more about each other than words ever can.
Primarily a figurative sculptor, Maxine creates originals from clay, plaster, and other materials, which are then moulded and casted into limited editions using bronze or stone (including marble).
Shortlisted for several awards, Maxine has studied sculpture and art in general at St Martins, the V&A, and Tate Britain. Maxine’s works are held in collections in the UK, Europe, and the USA.
