Gabriel Parfitt

Bio
Gabriel is based in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire and has recently rekindled his love of sculpture and the art of making.
He trained at Bretton Hall, University of Leeds and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and has exhibited nationally with works featuring in collections locally as well as in London and throughout the UK. Gabriel's practice explores space and form by fabricating ferrous steel and found metal. His work revolves around instinctive and sometimes unconventional manipulation of metal to create dynamic stylised sculptures. He uses subtle narratives that are illustrated by imitating and abstracting key influences such as the human figure and creatures found in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.
