Stephane Rouget

Stéphane Rouget is a stone carver, letter cutter, and sculptor from Brittany, now working in Cornwall. His practice spans from intimate, small-scale carvings to monumental sculptures, embracing the belief that no work is too modest or too ambitious. Working primarily with granite, he also explores materials such as slate, limestone, and Polyphant, often bringing them together in unexpected combinations. Shaped by a background in graphic design this work is guided by a strong visual sensibility and a deep responsiveness to the organic structures, forms and rhythms found in nature.
